We explored how silibinin, a compound from milk thistle, impacts brain tumor cells by focusing on the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). In our study, we created a specific rat glioma cell line expressing human EGFR. Our results showed that the presence of EGFR was crucial for silibinin to exert its toxic effects on cancer cells.
